I love these two cuties. Here are just a couple of my ultimate favourite photos from a family session I had over Thanksgiving weekend! I wanted to share these two pictures. More will come up soon, but I couldn't resist sneaking these in :)

Fun at Hermitage in Dundas!! {Hamilton Family Photographer}

I think each photographer has those few families who keep coming back for photos once, twice, or even three times a year. This is one of my families. I adore each and every one of them. The 3 boys are so high energy and absolutely loveable, and little Baby H, the youngest and only girls, who I got to photographed first in Mummy's tummy, then when she was about 3 weeks old and only 5pds, is nearly 1 now!! She just looks quietly around her to see what her big brother's are up to! I was welcomed with a big hug from the youngest boy, and managed to get one out of all of them by the end of the session :) The middle boy is a little harder to crack than his siblings, but with a bribe of some cheese strings, I got his cooperation, and even a giant hug, at last! For this session, we headed to Hermitage in the Dundas Conservation Park in Dundas. There are some amazing stone walls there and great scenery, not to mention LEAVES this time of year! Mamma Julie get SO excited about having photos taken, and cannot rest until I have shown her a few. Here is your sneak peek, Julie, now you can stop skulking my facebook lol ;)

I always try to take some time for at least one picture of mom & dad...I have a camera in my hand and a baby on my hip for this photograph!

What a Pumpkin!! Baby P at 4 Months! {Brantford Baby Photography}

Baby P is part of the Baby's First Year Program, which means I have the opportunity to photograph him every few months throughout his first year, and capture different stages and milestones he meets! I love this program, it is my favourite!! I get to see these babies grow up and capture their various stages. It's awesome!! Here is Baby P's 4 month photos - he's laying on his belly holding his head up and smiling SOOO big! Thank you to his mum & dad for being good sports and heading out to Apps Mill to capture some of these amazing leaves! I hope you love this series of photos. The rest are on their way :)

He was mesmorized by the swaying trees, but tickles managed to get him to crack this HUGE grin!!

6 Month Old, Baby A!

This little monkey (or owl...) came to visit from quite a distance away! I love how technology can link people from out of town. While visiting grandma, this little one came in (with mom, of course!) for some 6-month photos to make the milestone. I LOVE this age. The facial expressions are hilarious and they will still let you put hats on them without ripping them off all the time (as 1 year olds tend to do do lol). So, we managed to put this little girl 'A' through hat changes, costume changes and captured some super fun photos to mark her 6-month stage! Here are a few of my favourites:

I adore these hats - I'm a little addicted to buying them, actually...a hat for every age for boys & girls is my goal...and I have made it there and then some haha :)

As always, pearls! The girls love this necklace...and the ruffels on the bum just complete the entire outfit!

Sometime I get custom editing for things like Sepia tone and Selective colour, as seen here. I always like to make it known that I am flexible and can do some fun things with your photos when it comes to the editing process!

I adore when babies find their toes, it's so cute!

Fun Family Session! {Brantford Family Photographer}

I really must admit, being a photographer is a seriously amazing job! It allows me to be creative, and to work with people each and every day! I get to work with some really amazing people. This family, was absolutely awesome! We headed to Apps Mill just outside Brantford, on one of the busiest photography weekends of the year (Thanksgiving) and we had a ball, laughing through the whole session. They were playing tricks on each other, coming up with their own fun photo opportunities, and I was there to capture it all! It was an absolute blast. I am thankful I had the chance to photograph this family, and here are a few of my favourites from the day....although there are SO many it was tough to choose:

Temple Family! {Hamilton Family Photography}

I absolutely love this family! It may or may not be because they ARE my family, but either way, they're awesome and there are some adorable children kicking around in it! This past weekend, I got to photograph my cousins and their little ones at a local park / museum just outside of Barrie. It was an amazing spot with some great colours, and we had a beautlful day for photos. Here are a few of many of my favourites:

September brings baby girls?! [Hamilton Infant Photography]

September has been the month of baby girls! I have photographed 2 newborn baby girls, and an expectant mother who is about to have a baby girl....I don't think I've had this many baby girls around me within a week of each other :) It's interesting how it goes in waves. Sometimes I feel as though I mostly photograph girls, and other times I feel like I mostly photograph boys...but it really does come in waves. June was a month of boys. I'm going to start keeping stats, maybe?!

Regardless of gender, I get some beautiful babies and lovely families who pass through here. I am so lucky that my job is one where I get to interact with wonderful people, be creative, and photograph seriously adorable children. It's a rough life...really.... ;) This is my latest newborn family. This mama might look familiar if you follow my blog, since I took belly shots of her back in the beginning of July. Baby A was welcomed into the world a few weeks ago, and here she is on her first family / solo diva photo shoot! She did wonderfully, and here are just a few sneak peek images:

Baby Girl Session {Brantford Newborn Photography}

Little Baby R is nearly 3 weeks old in this session...which I just did today! I couldn't resist going through the photos to see how they turned out! This little one took a little convincing to get her to go to sleep, but once she was sleeping, she was out! We got to try out all sorts of hats and props! I'm excited for this sneak peek...I hope mom & dad love :)

Fairy in the Park Day!! {Kitchener Child Photography)

Last Thursday I headed to Rockway Gardens Park in Kitchener to take photos of some lovely girls. I booked up a day of babies and children ranging from 3 months, to 3 1/2 years! I packed up my vehicle with tutus, hats, headbands, chairs, blankets....and more...and headed out to KW for an early start to the day! I had families come to visit me, play dress-up a little, and I got to capture some fun images! It started as a "Fairy" day, but I couldn't resist trying out some new hats I had just acquired, which included an owl outfit and we even spotted some monkeys running around!!! Here are a few of my favourites from the day...although there are SOOO many to choose from:

This little one couldn't keep her eyes open. We let her have a little cat nap in the middle of the park...sneaking the hat and tutu on her while she was sleeping :)

Grandma & Me Session!! {Hamilton Family Photography}

Throughout my whole life, I have been lucky enough to have my grandmother around and very close to me. I even had my great grandmother in my life until I was 19 years old. It's so amazing how special grandmother's are. Sometimes, we forget to cherish the time we have with them. This family who came in today, really has inspired me to remember to stop to appreciate and really remember how special our time with such loved ones really is.

This family contacted me to hold a "grandma & me" session before this granddaughter returned to her home in France. She is here for a visit, and wanted to capture some photos of the two of them. Mom & dad came along too, and weren't supposed to get in on the photo snapping action, but we definitely managed to get them in there for some whole family photos! Here are just a few of my favourites...there are seriously SO many photos from this session that are adorable. These two are quite the pair, and the whole family looked great :)

Baby Girl - 8 Weeks Old {Brantford Newborn Photography}

This little girl is just about to turn 8-weeks old! She was full of smiles (although sometimes very serious!) Mom & Grandma brought her in for some photos. We had fun trying on hats, trying out different poses, and getting some mother/daughter photos, as well! It's a great way to capture the bond between mum and baby! Here are a few of my favourites from the session:

Baby 'A' - 6 month session {Cambridge Child Photography}

Wow, I cannot believe it has been 6 months since I started photographing this little monkey! She has gotten so big, sitting up on her own, talking away and giving us some smiles. We headed out to Apps Mill for her latest session, capturing her outdoors while the weather is super lovely. She was so interested in the grass & trees (and my chair)! This little one loves the feelings of all the new things...including the tutu I put her in :)

She can stand up with some help! I love documenting some of the new things they can do...next time I see her, she'll be standing up just holding onto whatever is around. They get so big so fast!!

Baby A loves lying on her belly, so we got a whole family on their tummies for a cute picture!

Thanks again to the 3 of you! I can't wait to see you all in a few months for our next session. Time is flying by, and I'm so happy to document some of her milestones!

Mini Session Dates

As summer is coming to a close (sorry....), I realize that some people just didn't get the chance to get those family photos, or photos of their little ones that they were hoping to schedule in. I'm trying to make it super easy for everyone, and will be holding mini-session days at the following on-location spots. This means, I come to an area near you, bring all my equipment, props, etc., and you bring your baby, family, pet, etc., and get your photos taken. It's super easy! Plus, I'll be bringing props for ALL my mini-sessions...including FireFighters, Fairies & Butterflies, Pet Days, Monkies in the Park, etc. You request it, and I'll bring it! It's a quick and easy way to get your photos done!

Here's the details! Sessions are scheduled to last 20-30 minutes at your city location of choice. Bookings are made on a first-come-first-serve bases, and have to be made in advance...if you do drop in, I can probably squeeze you in at some point, but you'll be waiting...so book a time slot and it will be super easy! Sessions are $25 (or for pets, a large bag of pet food) and include a 4x6 photo of your choice. And, you also get access to discount print packages, starting at $50.

Here is the city and date list:

Guelph - August 24th at Marianne's Park (176 Gordon St. across from the Covered Bridge & Boathouse)

Cambridge - August 26th at Riverside Park on King St.

Hamilton - August 27th - location TBA

Please let me know ASAP if you would like to book a session, as there are a limited number for each day. With your request, please tell me what type of mini-session you would like to take part in, and I will be sure to have your props of choice :)

PET DAYS for the Brant County SPCA!! [Brantford Pet Photography}

Anyone who has been into my studio has probably realized we are pet people here. With a little white dog, and two super friendly cats to greet you at the door (and sometimes crash a session or two), there's no doubt that we love our pets around here. Our pets are so lucky, they are well fed (just look at my cat, Cody), and have so much love. They kind of rule the roost around here...there isn't much they cannot do (Jaxson does try to climb my backdrop paper all the time, and that is probably the only thing he gets in trouble for...well that and eating all my nice plants...).

So, with the thought that not all animals are as well-treated as mine, and with the end of the summer on the horizon, I thought it would be perfect to head out of summer with a charity event to raise some money for pets in need, and to allow you a way to capture some photos of your beloved pets!!

The last week of August (August 23-27) will be Pet Days around Kelly Temple Photography studios. Bring in your pet (dog, cat, bird, bunny, hamster, etc.) and for only $25, or a large bag of pet food, you get a 20-30 minute mini session, and a 4x6 photo of your choice. The session includes up to 2 animals and 2 humans! PLUS, all the money from your sitting, goes to support the Brant County SPCA!! As well, print packages start at only $50 and 15% of your total print order (before tax) goes to the SPCA, as well! My goal is to raise $500 for such a wonderful cause! Help me reach my goal by bringing in your furry friend for some lovely photos...because pets are family, too!

My mom has two dogs, and this is her pretty girl, Hunter! Hunter is SO good...we love her dearly!

This is my cousin with her dog, Tucker. Sadly, Tucker had to be put down recently, and I'm so glad we have these photos of him! He was so well-loved and such an amazing puppy, too!!

This is Cash...who absolutely loves cheese. Don't say "SAY CHEESE, CASH!" to him, or else he goes running up the stairs to the kitchen looking for a treat. He is one smart, loyal and awesome dog...and just happens to be part of one of my Baby's First Year families!

This is my fur-nephew, Dexter. He's still a puppy and full of energy, and he's so handsome. He likes to fish in our pond when he thinks no one is looking. He has caught a fish, though!

Fun Family Session! {Kitchener / Waterloo Family Photography}

After a few reschedules due to busy life things and some inclimate weather, this family and I managed to connect for some family photos! We headed to Victoria Park in Kitchener for some fun shots in a gorgeous setting! This park has everything in one area, so we did a large circle around the park and took some photos along the way! There are so many lovely gardens and trees to use around this park - it was a great setting!

1 Year Old Session {Cambridge Children's Photography}

Little Girl 'L' gets the award for a 1 year session closest to her birthday! She turned 1 only a day before our session together! We headed out to a gorgeous park in Cambridge for some fun photos. We started out dry and shady for the first portion, getting some photos of Little Girl L on her own, then with her parents. After, we moved into the Splash Park for some fun in the water (and sun!) This session was a little different for me, much more candid than I usually photograph, but it was a lot of fun to follow a family around getting some shots of them just being together and splashing around!! Thanks for asking me to mark your daughter's milestone. Here are a few from the day:

Boy oh Boy do I love this photo - mostly because of the funny bit that happens before she makes this face! To get her laughing, her mom said, "DON'T PICK YOUR NOSE!!" and she was giggling and pointing that finger around!!

9 Months & So Cute!! {Kitchener Child Photography}

I have had the pleasure of photographing this little guy since he was a newborn! He is part of the Baby's First Year Program, and I get to visit with him and his family every few months to take some photos until he turns 1 ! This is session number 3, which takes place between 6 & 9 months! Here, Baby C is about 9 months old. We headed to a little part before going to an amazing stream for whole family photos. Baby C is just too cute, and I really do love getting to see the babies in the First Year Program grow - it's amazing what 3 months can do! Now, he's sitting up on his own, throwing a ball and on his way to being mobile via crawling and walking! What a cutie. Here are a few of my favourites from our session this past weekend:

I can never resist bringing some baskets, hats, etc. Here he is with a cozy blanket in a wicker basket in the park lol - he was very interested in the basket and the handles!

Thanks for another great session! I can't believe the next time I'll photograph Baby C, he'll be 1 year old! It's amazing how quickly time flies by :)

A Beautiful Mom-To-Be!! {Hamilton Maternity Photography}

Today I got to photograph a very beautiful mom-to-be. She was up for anything, and I totally take advantage of good people like that lol. We started indoors, had some serious costume changes, played with lighting...and did all sorts of awesome photography stuff! After that, we went outside to enjoy the beautfiul day we were given! Here are some of my (many) favourites from our time together:

We headed outdoors to a lovely park just down the road from me...the gardens are beautiful and it has the most amazing willow tree which has been featured in quite a few of my postings & images. I just love them though, and so do the people I bring there :)

The sun came out for a bit while we were shooting, so I figured we should use it!

Double Trouble Monkey Fun!! {Cambridge, ON Baby Photography}

Today was a definite first for me - I had TWINS come to visit me in my studio! I haven't had twins in before, so when mom contacted me about taking on the challenge of a twin cake-smash for their 1 year birthday, I was super excited! I ordered some super funky-monkey hats from Mudpies & Pigtails, and I had Julie design me some awesome monkey cakes (one girl monkey, and one boy monkey!) Mom warned me that little guy "J" was not a hat-lover, but I just wanted 1 or 2 photos with both of them in their hats, and for the rest, they could do anything they liked. We did get some pre-cake clean shots of them before the smashing began, and then they got good and messy (a bath followed the smash)! Here are a few of my favourites from the day:

Seriously Adorable @ 6 Months! {Brantford Child Photographer}

Little Girl 'A' came to me for a fun photo session today! We had a blast trying on outfits, changing backdrops, going outside to the park...she photographed for 2 hours, which is unheard of for a 6 month old and she did sooooo well! I would have had more melt-downs than her and I'm 25!! If I had to look this cute for so long...well that just wouldn't have happened, period. She is slightly on the serious side, and we had to work (mostly mom & dad...and a little of me making crazy noises, tickling her with the tickler and jiggling anything that made noise in her direction) to get her to crack smiles! But, this cutie didn't have to be all smiles to look adorable. I have to give a big thanks to mom & dad for bringing her quite a ways in the car and going along with everything with ease today! I appreciate it :) Here are a few of my favourites from our time together:

Fun Maternity Session!! {Kitchener / Waterloo Maternity Photography}

This maternity session was an absolute blast! This mamma-to-be was super fun and was up for anything! We started inside the nice (kind of) cool studio, then we ended up outside in my backyard and at a local park for some outdoor photos! I don't get to have a maternity session outdoors very often, so it was a treat! I had a vision of her under the giant willow tree nearby, and she brought this awesome green dress that fit the scene perfectly! I got to capture my vision, so I thank you for that! A Beautfiul Family! {Brantford Family Photographer}

I love blogging, since it allows me to share a few stories from my sessions with everyone! I get to experience so much working with people daily, in various environments and with children of different ages....the story with this family is one serious rain storm! On their long drive to the studio, they got caught in one of the craziest rain storms I have seen in a long time! By the time they got here, the power had gone off a whole bunch of times, the street was completely flooded (we're talking water past up to the top of the curb) and the rain was pooring down very hard! I met them outside with umbrellas, but they didn't escape without some VERY wet feet from having to walk through so much water! Once we all go inside - the power stayed on (thankfully!) and we got into our session! By the time we had finished, the sun was shining and all evidence of the crazy rainstorm from before was gone...it was almost like it was a whole different day! This family was great, and I'm glad through the rainstorm, getting lost and some power outages, even, we managed to hold this session to show Baby 'B' still nice and bite-size-small, and to capture some photos of your lovely family! Fun Family Session! {Brant Family Photography}

For this fun family session, I headed out to a Centennial Park just outside of Paris, ON to enjoy some amazing trees, some lovely water and A LOT of geese lol. It was a hot, sunny day, and we set out to capture some pictures of the whole family, and some of just the little guy! I brought out the FireFighter gear, and we even got some "FireFighter in the Park" photos! Here are a few of my favourites from the day!

At 9 months, babies always want to stand up or walk with help! This photo shows that milestone they reach around this age.

He was Mr. Serious for a few photos, but we did get him laughing with a few tickles from my tickler!!

A Feelin' Fabulous Photosession! {Brantford Photographer}

This photosession was a celebration of life! It was initiated by Lady D's partner, to help show off a lady who is looking and feeling fabulous right now! As a birthday gift, she received a treatment to hair and make-up and a fun photosession! A Funtastical Wedding {Hamilton Wedding Photography}

This wedding was an absolute blast! The couple chose an amazing spot at Dundurn Castle in Hamilton, and the weather cooperated with us right until the last photo! We did get some rain, but everyone was already settled inside happily eating dinner :) On the way to the wedding, we ran into a parade through Hamilton and the poor bride was 45 minutes late for the ceremony...but I must say, she handled it extremely well! I'm pretty sure I would have been a wreck, but she held it together and the wedding went smoothly from there! This beautiful couple, and their 4 children, were surrounded by family and friends at their event. Here are a few of my favourite photos from the day:

Seeing Stars {Hamilton Child Photographer - Smash Cake}

Baby D here turns the BIG 1 next week, and mom decided to celebrate with a SMASH - a CAKE SMASH, that is :) Baby D made quite the mess with the cake...but didn't really eat much of it. He smashed it, stepped in it, and got it EVERYWHERE, and I got to capture it all! Here is a sneak peek of my "true blue" star cake session:

He was not a fan of getting dirty, and put his foot right in the cake...this is him trying to shake off all that icing and cake. Needless to say, cake was all over the floor and quite possibly the ceiling after this smash lol :)

All babies sit on their cake - it's a fun way to end the session after the cake has been demolished - it's just one final SQUISH!!

Baseball Baby {Hamilton Newborn Photography}

The mamma of this little guy had her maternity photos done by me back in May. She had mentioned that her husband is a HUGE fan of baseball, and would love to incorporate it into the newborn session when her little Baby A arrives! I had been searching for a vintage baseball glove for some time, but now made it my mission to have one here before he came in for photos - and I succeeded! I found an amazing vintage glove on Ebay, and mom & dad brought in a baseball that has been passed down through 2 generations. The little guy came in all prepared in his baseball sleeper, and we managed to get an adorable baseball shot, along with many others from the day. Here is my sneak peek of Baby A!!

I was afraid to touch the ball since it is so old - and the story behind it is super amazing!

Baby A is another of my newest Baby's First Year babies - and I am really exited to have this guy coming back in when he is 3 months old. The program captured babies throughout the first year of their life - it is amazing to see how fast they grow, and I love getting to watch it happen and capture it through images :) See you soon, baby!!

Brand New Baby {Cambridge Newborn Photographer}

This little guy came to visit me at only 3 weeks old! He was born a little early, but is healthy and quite adorable :) I LOVE his full head of hair - I can't believe how much if it he has! Taking the hats on and off was funny, since it gave him a little bit of a "messy hair" look - I thought it made him look cool and even slightly tough lol. Baby J here is one of my newest Baby's First Year babies, and I look forward to watching him grow throughout the year to come!! Here are a few of my favourites from our newborn session together:

He moved around a bit as we were trying to get him settled and warm, and ended up with this little kissy face! I loved it and couldn't resist snapping a photo of him all puckered up :)

Watermelon GALORE!!

Yesterday was such a fabulous day! It was Canada's Birthday AND Watermelon Day here!! This session was inspired by my beautiful GodSon, who, during a visit with me, was eating watermelon and got it all over himself - and of course I was there to snap some photos...turns out, the photos were adorable (well...HE is adorable lol), and it made for a great summer session idea!! These mini-sessions took place at Riverside Park in Cambridge, where there was a lot of traffic for Canada Day celebrations, but it didn't interrupt our sessions! I captured 4 cuties enjoying the delicious watermelon...thank goodness for seedless watermelon, since some of these kids were pretty small (but...I DO miss watermelon-seed-spitting-contests, don't you?!) Here are a few of my favourites from the day!!

Ohhh, it is just SO good! This little guy sucked as much juice out of the watermelon as possible! He sure enjoyed it :)

I could make sound effects for this photo! AHHHHHHHH Chomp! Big Bite!! Big Boy 'N' kept saying how he was on a picnik, and was SO excited about our time together!!

This girl was completely in the zone with her eating! She LOVED the watermelon!

This was by far my tiniest watermelon baby - at only 7-weeks, Baby Girl 'G' hung out on the table cloth in her watermelon outfit and the "watermelon inspired" headband I made!

MMMMMMM! So good!!

These two siblings were sharing bites of their watermelon - super sweet!!

3-Month Session {Brantford Baby Photography}

I've said it before, and I'm sure I'll say it again, but the Baby's First Year Program is my absolute favourite! I love to see the babies 4 or 5 times (sometimes more if they come visit me to pick up prints and such!) over the course of a year. They grow SO quickly, and I love being able to capture those milestones. This little one had her newborn session done in March, and came back for her 3-month photos, showing off her head-holding-up-skills!! We decided to try a session outdoors since it has been so nice out - and Little Baby A was amazing by all of the trees and people around! We moved it indoors at the end, but I loved photographing her in a park setting! Here are a few of my favourites from the session :)

When they start smiling, grining and goo-ing, I love it! This is such a great age and stage!

I ordered some Monarch wings and made a little 3-month tutu and we turned her into a Butterfly for a few moments - so sweet :)

Tiny Baby Girl! {Brantford Newborn Photographer}

I first met 'Baby S's' mom when I was in search of an awesome couch to pose families on for an outdoor summer session I have coming up! Emailing back and forth, I learned she was pregnant and we arranged for a photo session after her little girl arrived...and here she is!

When they arrived at my door and saw her all tiny and wonderful, I almost died! Baby S is absolutely adorable and I really loved this session. At first, dad didn't realize that babies this little should and usually do sleep through the entire session (she is only 5 days old here) and woke her up. She wasn't a huge fan of that, but a lot of food, a little cuddling and my space heater (we all sweat for baby!) and she was out like a light. Here are some of my favourites from this amazing session! Oh, and you'll be seeing more of this adorable cutie and her loving parents, as she is my newest Baby's First Year baby!

All curled up in the new basket I bought - I love finding adorable little props and she was tiny enough to fit into this one!

Mom brought in this awesome black headband and I thought it was fabulous! Mom said she had it on her while she was in the hospital. She is a diva in the making for sure :)

Professional Cake Smasher! {Kitchener Cake Smash Photographer}

This adorable little one just turned a big 1 year old, and mom thought we should celebrate with a cake smash session! The colours for the birthday party were pink and brown (super stylish) so we kept that theme with this cake smash! The facial expressions on little girl "A" were absolutely adorable! That wasn't the only great thing - by the end of the session I officially dubbed her a "Professional Cake Smasher", since she did a pro job at smashing up the cake! This session was a blast, and here are a few of my favourites I thought I would share!

Often, I play music when little ones come to visit, and she was dancing away to some Jack Johnson's Curious George CD here!

When we put the cake in front of Little Girl "A", she hesitated for a few moments; leaned over once to the cake, then backed up. She leaned over again, then backed up. When we told her it was OK, she DOVE right into the cake!

She took a big bite, then came up for some air!

Baby Bump {Kitchener Maternity Photography}

Lady K found me in a maternity model search and we had been conversing back and forth for a couple of months, waiting for her to get a nice, round baby bump for her session! A model basically allows me to try out some new ideas & poses, and K was fantastic! She brought a suitcase full of clothes (which is GREAT!!)...so many, in fact, that we barely used any of them, and she even brought her own hair stylist (aka, her best friend). This session was a blast, and K let me play with lighting, try out some poses, and put total trust in me during the whole session! Here are a few of my favourites from our time together:

Summer Fun in the Sun! {Guelph Child Photography}

This little guy is near and dear to my heart. He is my God-son (to be...) and makes me melt with his chubby little cheeks and sweet blue eyes. He is such a good boy and is getting quite the personality on him...and he just turned 1 this month! So, I convinced mom to let me take some 1 year photos (since I've had the opportunity to photograph him brand new, at 3 & at 6 months, I figured she SHOULD let me). She dressed him for summer since it's been so hot, and we got some great "summer fun" photos in his beach gear, and then eating watermelon to finish it all off. Inbetween, there was a cake smash, and I will post those photos into my new gallery on my website called "cake smash"!

Fairy in the Park & Cake Smash!! {Brantford Baby Photographer}

I love (LOVE) to photograph outdoor sessions, and when the mom and dad of Baby J pulled up to my house on the weekend, I ran out to meet them, asking if we could change the plans slightly and photograph outdoors at a park in Brantford, just becuase it was SO nice outside! They were game, and I grabbed some tutus, a few pairs of wings and we headed over to Lyons Park for a Fairy in the Park mini-session! This little girl was so much fun to photograph - being just over 1 she has a mind of her own, but man oh man did she cooperate when she was asked! The greatest part is, after the fairy photos, we got to go in studio for an awesome CAKE SMASH session - what an amazing way to end an already fun session. Thanks so much for coming out and being up for any suggestions, all!! I cannot wait to photograph this little one again :)

Fun with Lighting! {Brantford Pregnancy Photographer}

The more maternity sessions I have the pleasure of photographing, the more special I realize they are! This couple came to me for a belly to baby session (I cannot wait to photograph their little guy due to arrive within the next few weeks!!) and we had so much fun during the belly session. They let me pose and play with lighting as I went along, resulting in some neat and pretty photos. Sibling Easter Session {Cambridge Child Photographer}

Last weekend I got to have some fun with these two girls! I was so excited when I heard they were coming over, and I got straight to making cute matching tutus and finding some adorable little hats we could put on them! I love photographing siblings, it's so fun to see the bond they have with each other, and what they do naturally without being asked. A lot of the time I get fun poses and cuddles just from waiting to see what they do together! We had a lot of fun during the session, and got some great photos. Here are some of my favourites:

This little one knew how to pose all on her own, she loves the camera! Adorable :)

Their mom brought in these matching hats - so much fun and added just the perfect amount of colour to their white shirts!

The Easter dresses were so adorable, and I just love them! By the end Little Sister 'J' was getting a little tired, but Big Sis 'C' was still going strong with the posing!

Baby C - 4 months {Guelph Child Photographer}

My Watch me Grow program (AKA Baby's First Year) is by far my favourite session package I offer. I get to see little ones grow from newborns (or sometimes before that if a maternity session comes first) into 1 year olds who are walking around! I visit the baby and family 4 or 5 times over the course of a year and capture the growth the baby goes through as they hit various milestones from being brand new, to holding their head up, to sitting up, all the way to walking! Baby 'C' is enrolled in this program and this is our 2nd session together. I couldn't believe how much bigger he was now than when I last saw him at 3-weeks! He is absolutely adorable and we had a great session together. I can't wait to see him again when he's sitting up on his own for his next milestone celebration!! Here are some of my favourites:

This little guy gave lots of smiles - I love when they can smile and chit-chat baby talk!!

An updated family portrait is fun to get at each session, too!

The 2nd session is all about showing them holding their head and shoulders up strong - he did a great job :)

Mom and I couldn't resist putting this guy in a teddybear hat and a basket. I LOVE this photo, his eyes are so blue and he just looks perfect!

The family dog is also super awesome! He follows me around the house, hangs out while I set up and never turns down a tummy rub while I'm there. I made the mistake of asking him to say "Cheese" while I was light testing, not knowing cheese is his ultimate favourite food. Instead of smiling, he bounded up to the kitchen for a tastey snack. Here, he is about to army crawl forward to get the treats he saw me put in my pocket. We got 1 photo, but it turned out great - I just love how Baby 'C' is petting him here and is wearing his own doggie coat, super sweet!

First Outdoor Session of the Season! {Brantford Child Photographer}

We have been lucky enough here in the GTA to have had beautiful weather for most of March so far! I have been itching to take some outdoor photos, so when the mom of these two boys contacted me and said she would like to have a photosession over March Break, I got giddy, packed my camera into my bag, and prepared for a wonderful outdoor session. Photographing kids and families outside just makes so much sense to me - it's so much more natural and the kids get to run around and have fun during the photos and inbetween, and I love the colours and natural surroundings as well! These two guys, Big Brother 'J' and Little Brother 'C' joined me for a trip to Apps Mill in Brantford, ON for my first outdoor session of Spring! We had a great time on this sunny and warm day, and although Little 'C' is quite shy, we captured some adorable photos of these two. I love their beautiful eyes and smiles, and the sunshine made everything sparkle!

Little 'C' took some time to come out of his shell with me, and stood by his big bro for some support!

We used the shade of a great big tree for these photos becuase the sun was SO bright out! I love how photographers look for nice days, then look for shade :)

Little 'C's' Grandmother was there, too, and helped us get some giggles and grins out of this guy!

Big Bro 'J' was so great and I got nice smiles out of him the whole time!

I have to say, I did not pose this. They did this all on their own. Little Bro 'C' eats up his big bro and just loves him to death - I could tell that after a very short time with the two. This cuddle photo is so adroable, I just love how Big Bro is all cuddled in too with his eyes shut!

Cake Smash {Brantford Child Photographer}

Little Girl 'S' might look familiar, because I had the chance to photographer her and her big brother around Christmas time! Her big eyes and adorable smile are tough to forget. Well, Little 'S' turned 1 this February and mom decided she wanted to do a birthday session for her, and that is when I suggested a Cake Smash! After showing mom a few examples of Cake Smash photos, she was excited for the session! Unfortunately, poor Little Girl 'S' and her entire household came down with the flu bug and both her birthday party and Cake Smash Session were postponed. Postponed or not, both got rebooked and were a great success! Here are some of my favourites from the session:

We started out with some clean photos of 'S' in her party dress - I love the Birthday Girl ribbon attatched to the dress - so cute! She got to be a princess for a day at her party in this :)

What's a birthday party without a tutu and some pearls? She wasn't sure about walking around in this tutu, but we definitely got some cute images of her!

We brought the cake out and attempted to get a photo of her just beside the cake without touching it, but she was having none of it and dove right in for those lovely dots!

I feel like here she's looking at mom thinking, "Are you serious, I can dig in and NOT get in any trouble? You WANT me to make a mess?!?!"

Inside Natalie at Cake in a Box puts icing so that the smash cake can get good and messy!

I just love this photo - her eyes and the icing all over her face, so cute!

This is quite possibly my ultimate favourite from the session - it just speaks to me. She did this all on her own, she stood up, walked beside the cake and just looked at it for a second. I feel like here, with her hands on her hips she's saying, "Ok cake, it's just me...and you....and I'm gonna EAT you!" Love it!

The session didn't last long (they never do...cake smash's a pretty quick) but it was a blast and we got some fabulous images from it. Little Girl 'S' seemed to love being able to dive into a cake and get super messy! I can't wait for my next one :)

My March...

March. What a month! I don't know what else to say....it has been CRAZY. The last weekend of February I thought I had food poisoning. I started feeling sick on Satuday evening, but we had an engagement party planned with 35 of our closest friends and family driving to our house for a get to know each other celebration for Sunday, so I couldn't do much about it! There was cake, tons of food, lots of laughs and wonderful people...and me....curled up in a corner for most of the party **insert sad face here**

When Monday came along and I was still super sick, I knew it wasn't food poisoning. I made an appointment for the Dr.'s and he sent me right to emergency where I ended up in surgery 3 hours later to have an Appendectomy. Yup, my appendix had ruptured. March 1st, the very first day of this lovely month, started out with me having surgery! I haven't even had stitches before, bonked my head, I haven't even had an X-ray before!

Needless to say it was quite an experience. 2 days in the hostpital seemed like enough to me and I got to go home. I felt ok for the first coule days but ended up BACK in the hospital with an infection. I spent another 5 days there. Needless to say the first 2 weeks of my March were completely thrown off. My photosessions were all rebooked...then rebooked again (SORRY!). My emails were piling up and so was my editing! Thankfully, I have VERY understanding clients who were showed me so much patience through this whole ordeal!

Nevertheless, things are still a little crazy as I have been trying to recover and get organized. I did not get a chance to put anything together for Easter but will be moving the planned specials to a Spring session to come after Easter weekend - so stay tuned and check your emails soon for notice of these fun Limited Edition themes and even some photo package specials!

Thank you all again for your understanding and support throughout my time in the hospital and now recovering. I'm almost 100% and am very much looking forward to getting back to normal :)

Newborn Session: Baby A! {Brantford Baby Photography}

This is little Baby A's first session with me! She is the latest member to be enrolled in the Watch Me Grow Program here at Kelly Temple Photography! This means, I get to photograph this little one 4 (or sometimes 5) times over the span of her first year! I love LOVE this program because I really get to know my clients and I get to see adorable babies grow up and become walking 1 year olds! We had such a great time with these Newborn photos, and once little A got settled in, she slept like a champion and we got all sorts of adorable pictures of her. Here are a few of my favourites:

This was one of the few times she woke up enough to capture a full eyes open shot! I think with my bright lights flashing, most babies just opt to relax and go to sleep :)

Engagement Session - Amanda & Joe {Guelph Wedding Photography}

This was one of the most fun engagement sessions I've had to date! Horses?! Snow?! Beautiful bright sun-light?! It was awesome :) Amanda and Joe really wanted a horse ranch scene in their photos, so we headed just north of Guelph to a great horse ranch to take these photos. It was a little chilly, but that BRIGHT sun saved us and we had a fabulous session! I thought for this posting, rather than just posting the odd photo, I would post some of the art that was made from the photos.

The first image is a collage, which you will soon be seeing in 20x24 form (or larger...) in my studio. I love the photos we captured and plan on using this as some wall art to decorate my new studio! As a side note, the watermarks are not on the photo, they are placed on blog photos for safety of my photos and for my clients! This is just one of the many type of collages that can be made using photographs from a session!

The white horse above was originally the only horse taken out, but she was so unhappy and distressed without her boyfriend that we opted to take both horses out, which worked out pretty well, actually!

Maternity Session {Brantford Maternity Photographer}

I know I've said this before, but I love LOVE maternity sessions! I think that this is a point in a woman's & couple's life that should be captured and remembered through beautiful photos. Many women are shy of their bellies (and here I think they're BEAUTIFUL!!) and want to hide them, but to me, you're glowing and stunning while pregnant. I think there is a bond between monther and child before that baby even arrives, and these photos help capture some of that emotion and wonder pregnancy brings to a woman's life. I can't wait to go through this point in my life, I get so excited for those expecting and always like to meet the babies afterwards :) Here are a few of my favourites from my latest maternity session (I had 2 in one week, it was a RECORD lol)!

Boy Model Session! {Brantford child photographer}

A Little Fairy Princess! {Kitchener / Waterloo Child Photographer}

I have been buying and making tutus for a little while now, waiting for a girl of the perfect age to come along and model them all for me. This spring, I plan on holding a special Limited Edition portrait study involving these cute little tutus & dance outfits...but it's a secret for now....shhhhh. I can't wait to share with you what is coming up, but here is Little Girl "Y" showing off some of the ADORABLE tutus and dance costumes I have here. She bounced, twirled and showed off her MJ moves (yup...MJ as in Michael Jackson....she's 2, by the way...) and had a blast. Here are some of my favourite images I captured from the session:

This is "Y" looking for the ladybug that sometimes appears during photo sessions. Said ladybug is often found on my camera somewhere and on my lights :)

This box is something I found in the basement of my future mother-in-law (where I reside) and thought it would be PERFECT for this session. It just so happened "Y" loved to sit on it!

She thought there might be treasure in it....boy was she disappointed when she discovered only reusable shopping bags!

Here's the rainbow tutu and organge headband - I love the way it stands out against the black background!! So much colour, SOOOO much fun!

Lyndsay's Baby Bump! {Hamilton Maternity Photographer}

I love maternity sessions! They are so much fun, and I try to get as creative as possible to show off that baby bump! Lyndsay came to me last week and told me she was due any day and wanted to capture some images of her pregnancy before her little bundle arrived. We squeezed in a session the very next day and here is a preview of the results. Lyndsay and her family (which is about to gain another little girl) went along with all my ideas and let me get completely creative! I captured some new poses and angles and had an absolute blast! Here's my favourite from the day:

This is one of my favourites and was something new I wanted to try. With Lyndsay being SO pregnant I tried to keep her as comfortable as possible (she loved the couch photos) and off the floor at least a little.

This one is also a new idea - I back lit her belly so all you can see is the shape - since she knows she is having a little girl, I used a nice pink flower to show a little feminine touch!

Babies are so loved before they even arrive, and I think this photo shows the bond between parents and baby before birth!

Doggie Study! {Brantford Pet Photography}

In Hollywood they say you should never work with children or pets. I figure, I work with children all the time, so why not pets?!!? I was asked to hit the road and take some photos of these two pups and, since I don't get pet photo requests too often, I was a little nervous (plus it is indoor pet session which I've never done before). I had met Lady (the little black dog) previously at Holly and Naser's wedding in the spring (she was their flower dog?!) and she is so gentle, calm and well behaved. I hadn't met Gizmo...he's got quite a bit more energy and took awhile to warm up to me, but with a little petting and a lot of treats, he warmed up to me just fine and we managed to get some fun photos! Here are my favourites from the day:

Something's Lookin' Good! {Brantford Portrait Studio}

Something's looking a little different around this place! I FINALLY sat down with my dear friend Annya Miller of Annya Miller Photography and made my brand new business cards and other items! I'm SO excited to share these with you - I feel they turned out wonderfully, really represent who I am and the style I'm trying to be known for, and they give me a way to share valuable information with you, my client & guests, regarding prints & DVD care, gallery viewing information, comment cards, etc.

Little Girl 'P' & her Tutu!! {Kitchener Child Photography}

Ok, so it has been TOO long since I blogged last - I have had lots and lots of sessions throughout January and already quite a few in February and here I am, being a lazy blogger. But, that will happen no more! I am going to catch up on my blogs and share all my new work / big news with everyone!

Here's little girl, P, who came into my new studio space in mid-January for some photos. I tried out a new background and brought out my pink chair! She just started standing and doesn't have much interest in sitting or laying down, so we use the chair as a seat and as an object to balance with. I captured some adorable photos and really want my style to start heading in this direction, simple, yet fun fun! I have been making tutus (which you can find at my studio and even have the opportunity to purchase and take home with you, if you like!) and wanted to incorporate some simple props, funky backdrops to create some really fun photos. Here's some of my favourites from the session!

From Belly to Baby: Introducing Baby 'H' {Hamilton Newborn Photographer}

I first photographed Baby 'H' when she was in her mummy's tummy....and here she is now, a little tiny peanut of a baby (lol). Born a tad early, she made it safely and here are some images from her Madonna & newborn session - and there's a family group shot in there, too. I have so much fun working with this family, every time I go over the boys are so excited to see me and they help me set up and take all my equipment down. They also love their new baby sister - the only girl of 4! Thanks, Julie & BJ for having me over again to capture your family!

The whole family! Mom called this her "miracle" shot since she doesn't have any family photos of them where the kids are turning away or making a silly face lol. I'm glad I could capture this for you! What a beautiful family :)

She was SO comfortable just hanging out here. She only slept for about 5 minutes in total - there was too much going on for her, she wanted to see it all!

We just used a leather chair the family had in their living room - I like to use different looking backdrops to create textures and various styles to the photos.

JANUARY SPECIAL!! {Brantford Photographer}

Hello everyone and a GREAT BIG HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all! I'm so excited for the possibilites of 2010 and it has already proven that it will be an exciting year for me, and hopefully for all of you, as well.

I have a couple of tidbits of news to share with you all. First, January is exciting because it means FREE SESSIONS this month on any regular portrait session (excludes Baby's First Year program and Belly to Baby sessions). This means, book a session in January - and book fast if you want one my spaces are filling up! - and you can come to me, or I will travel to you, and do what I love to do for absolutely free. This creates some wonderful excitement for the both of us. January is a slow, boring and chilly month, so I figured I should create some excitement around this place!

That brings me to my second tidbit of EXCITING news! I officially have a part of my home turned into an IN HOME STUDIO! That's right - this means I no longer have to come into your home, rearrange ALL your furniture, take 20 minutes to set up, take your wonderful photos, take another 20 minutes to take it all down and then put the furniture back. This NOW means you can come here into my already set up studio, have your choice of backdrops (which are fancier here than on location!) and even down the road, you'll have a choice of floors!?! Big ideas are happening here!

I'm so excited and will be posting some photos once this weekend project gone mad get slightly organized!

Latest Maternity Session! {Hamilton Maternity Photographer}

As a photographer, and artist, I'm always looking for ways to create new images, to expand my portfolio and go beyond the everyday. I love taking all kinds of photos, but have always secretly feared maternity sessions a little more than any other type of session. Maternity sessions are a way for a photographer to capture the bond between mum and baby BEFORE that baby even enters the world, to show off the baby in the belly, and to make mom look fabulous (all at the same time?!?!)

Women tend to get a little shy about their beautiful bellies sometimes, and it is my job as the artist and photographer to make her look wonderful and that belly really stand out! When I got contacted by Julie, she told me she was pregnant with her 4th child - her first girl! She wanted to show off her feminitiy and really focus on how beautiful she looks while pregnant and how much love and excitement was circulating around her family with expecting this little one. The boys were excited, mom and dad went on a pink shopping spree, and Julie looked absolutely stunning.

Together, we decided to make this a different type of maternity session, bringing in wraps, materials and finding different ways to use typical baby props. I think we did great - I absolutely love (LOVE!!!!) these photos and am so glad Julie let me get creative and trusted me 100% as I was wrapping her up and tying and taping material to her lol. She was a fantastic sport and so was her hubby and her little tykes! Here's the result....hopefully this will help get some more maternity creativity flowing and some more models who want something a little different to help show off what it's like to be expecting and fabulous!!

The Holiday Season!! {Guelph Portrait Photographer}

This holiday season has been the busiest and absolute best YET! I have had an amazing time getting to meet, to know and photograph many brand new clients, and also revisit with some of my previous clients who came back to get some holiday photos done or to document the far too quick growth of their little ones! I love seeing old faces againt and meeting new people. This is one of the greatest parts of this job. There is something so rewarding about photographing children as their meet different milestones throughout their lives - from sitting up, to walking, to losing their first teeth. I love having families come back to have me take their yearly portraits. Nothing is more complimentary than having a family give your card to a friend or call you for a second portrait session!

Although I had about 15 session between November and now, I am unable to blog about all of them individually. So, I have posted some of my favourites from this holiday season. If your photo isn't up here, it may just be that I'm waiting to do a separate blog for that session (showing a new prop or a new style of photography) so, have no fear, I love all of my photo sessions and will be showing your photos off as soon as possible.

Baby D is growing up SO fast! He just hit 8 months (and to think I took photos of this little guy when he was in mummy's tummy, when he was only a few days old and at 4 months...here we are again getting these sitting up pics (and even standing up poses!)

It never ceases to amaze me to see how much children LOVE Cheerios :)

Kristin and Rich had me come and take some Engagement photos for them before the snow hit the ground. This was a seriously fun session - these two were hilarious to work with and went along with whatever crazy idea I threw their way! We got some really cute ones...but the fighting montage just might be my favourite E-session pics to date!

These two cuties were ANGELS to work with - they had a lot of laughs during the session and did an amazing job. Mom had a fabulous fireplace display so we didn't even need a backdrop, it was too perfect already!

They unwrapped these gifts at the end, and even though I had told them they were empty boxes, they were still so happy to rip that paper off and check out what the other had opened. Too cute!

This is baby C and he is signed up in my Baby's First Year program. You'll be seeing more of this adorable little guy and his lovely parents. This is session 1 of 4 - I can't wait to see him in January when he's holding his head up.

This little girl was too cute! This chair was not mine, but her early Christmas gift. I loved it so much and the way these photos turned out that I went out and bought the chair (actually my mother-in-law got it for me as an early Birthday gift, which was even better!!) So now I have this beautiful new prop to add to my ever-growing collection!

Little Man "N" was fast - we had a tough time keeping him still (I'd love to get some outdoor photos of him running around in the Spring) but we still managed to capture some of that adorable face.

This is his sister, little girl "S" and she was content just hanging out and having her photo snapped. I'm pretty sure I could have taken her photo 1000 times and she wouldn't have minded one bit, as long as she had something to play with!

This little guy is too cute. Mom was fun enough to let me try out some new hats that I recently got and was dying to put on some cute little babies! He looks ADORABLE in that bear hat - what a gorgeous little guy. Hope to see more of him in the future!

These Madonna photos turned out amazingly as well - this mom and baby team were so great to work with and I managed to capture many great shots. These are two of my favourites - I did have a really tough time choosing though. The one below I think is one of my top 10 faves of photos I have. There's just something about it I love.....

Family Session - Becky & Shawn {GTA Family Photography}

Well, it has been awhile since I posted a blog - with so much going on (and so many new sessions) I have A LOT of catching up to do. Let's start with this amazing family - they were absolute great sports this day! With 5 kids, 2 parents and 1 dog, along with some strong wind from the lake, we set out to the Waterfront in Oshawa and had a fun session! We started with some awesome shots of each child individually and moved onto all the kids, and then got a whole family shot. It only took one spectacular Tinker Bell candy bracelet to get the smallest tyke through the session, and I think it went pretty well. Family Photos: Monica & Chris {Guelph Family Photographer}

This week was absolutely crazy, and oh so fun! I had 3 sessions in 2 days with 3 wonderful families and babies. This is family number 2, with Chris & Monica, Big Bro 'M' and Little Baby 'C'. This session really made me realize that the natural interaction of the family makes for the most beautiful family photos, and that every family session produces very unique images, regardless of how prepared I go as a photographer. My personal favourite is the photo of Big Bro 'M' sharing his popsicle with him mum - I just love it! Here is that photo, along with many others that I picked to show from the session. Monica & Chris, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!!

Big Bro 'M' absolutely loved my reflector and was a little fascinated with them. I snapped this picture as he raced his Lightening McQueen car up and down it, and love the way the colouring turned out.

Little Baby 'C' is by far the tiniest baby I have ever seen / held / photographed in real life. He is a tiny 6 pounds (probably with clothes on!) Regardless, he stayed wide awake throughout the entire session and we got some great photos of him wide-eyed!

Darla & Baby K: Madonna Session

I have already mentioned the wonderful Sandy Puc seminar I attended with my dear friend. Well, here is my 2nd "Madonna" session since then! I embarked on a mission to find newborn babies (and their beautiful mums) to take part in sessions with me / for me. Darla and her 4-week old baby "K", stepped up to help me out with this project! I think Darla was a little surprised when I told her she can wear black, realizing only at that moment that she, too, was taking part in the session. However, no one can argue with the fact that both mum & babe look wonderfully beautiful! Here are a few of my faves from the day.... oh, and while my last posts were in B&W, this post is in colour and a type of Sepia tone-type finish that I found (and fell in love with!) and I hope you all like them as much as I do. Where did the Summer go?!?!

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful summer. Now that Fall is upon us (already?!?!?!) I figured a little life update would be in order, since this summer has been so unbelievably hectic and flew by way too quickly. This is a little bit of a long post, but I have so much to share with you. I vow to start doing some personal posting now throughout, rather than saving all the good news for one time.

In terms of photography, I have been a busy girl this summer. I am so greatful for the number of weddings I was able to shoot (and assist with). Although things got a little crazy busy (since I do work full time in my real life), it all came together and I was able to capture some wonderful images for some fabulous couples. I had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful new people, and even booked 3 weddings for next summer already!!! These couples have feature blogs showing off their engagement sessions. I am a true believer in engagement sessions because it allows the couple and I to get to know each other before the wedding day. It allows us to work together and to discover what works (and what does not work so well) before the big day, which is always much more hectic and fast paced than the laid back engagement shoots. Check out their photos on my older posts!

There are some BIG BIG changes coming to Kelly Temple Photography, which I am sooo excited to share with you. First, my good friend Annya (of Annya Miller Photography) and I attended a Sandy "Sam" Puc Bellies to Babies seminar in Toronto. This woman is amazing and absolutely inspiring. She is so much more than just a talented photographer, she does it all. Annya and I had our jaws open nearly the entire show, took pages upon pages of notes and kept looking at each others with this "Why didn't we ever think of that before?!?" look. I left exhausted but totally inspired to revamp the portrait side of my business. So, here's what's coming soon:

New portrait galleries: I am updating my galleries on my website. Soon, they will be easier to navigate, more galleries to browse through, larger feature galleries and private galleries so clients can share all of their photos with friends and family. As well, each gallery will have a shopping cart attached to allow for easy, quick and convenient ordering of prints!

My Baby Program: This is what I am most excited about. I have completely revamped my Baby's First Year program (thanks to Ms. Puc's guidance) and look forward to sharing it with you. Now, get 3 sessions throughout baby's first year, an upgrade to a Madonna session with baby & mum, 1 - 5x5 20-page photobook designed by me & you, as well, you save 10% off all portrait packages or a la carte print items! This package is only $250 plus PST!!! More information regarding this session can be found soon on my website :)

New Packages: Along with the Baby's Frist Year package, I have also revamped my single portrait sessions, and my Belly to Baby session. These now include a much smaller sitting fee, and a print credit, along with a web-ready disc including 25 photos from your session - this means the disc is great for emailing, use on FaceBook, etc., but is not of print quality. There is now the option to upgrade the disc to many other kinds of discs, including more web photos, a 5x7 disc and a full-resolution disc with varying amounts of photos included. So, why have I done this? I realize that digital is taking over and that everyone loves to have photos on their computer, in their digital picture frame, etc., so I have kept in that option with the sessions by including a web-image disc. However, photography is also an art and photos should be printed and shown as such. Truly believing this has led me to offer more printing (that and I found a fabulous printing company I trust to offer the best to my clients). If you have any questions about this, just let me know!!

On a more personal note, I am officially a teacher! I have graduated teacher's college, and I embarked on my first day of Supply Teaching on Monday! It was so exciting and reassured me that I belong in a classroom. I love teaching, and I love photography. These two passions are starting to come together, take off, and life is good :) I have so much to be thankful for, and I'd like to start by thanking you all who read my blogs, visit my website, hold photo sessions with me. I am greatful to you for helping me do what I love and helping me grow as a photographer and as a person. Thank you!

6 Weeks Old: Newborn Session II

Stephanie & Baby K have made an appearance on here before... in fact, I took Baby K's newborn photos when she was only 2 weeks old. So, why are they getting pics done again so quickly? I have sought Stephanie out on a number of occasions in order to borrow her, her husband, her son and now her daughter in order to put some new skills to test. They are my official photography models! If I have something I want to try out, I call Steph & Co. (they are such good sports and I appreciate their time, energy & smiles)!

Recently, I attended an amazing seminar put on by a fabulous photographer named Sandy Puc (she's based out of Colorado and takes some pretty amazing photos). At this seminar, I was introduced to new ideas & techniques regarding newborn sessions, and asked Stephanie if I could enlist her & Baby K to model for me. She agreed (thankfully becuase I love love some of these images) and here is the result - again all in B&W for this post, I enjoyed it last time and thought I would continue with the trend:

Deborah&Jeff: Family Session {Brantford, ON Family Photographer}

This weekend, I had the opportunity to take photos for Deborah & Jeff, who won a free session that I donated to a Buck&Doe they attended. This session took place at Glenhurst Gardens, in Brantford, and included the two of them, and their daughter, Little Girl "A". Their hopes were for an nice family shot and some of Little Girl "A" as they have a hard time catching her photograph at home. Once we arrived at the park, Little Girl "A" was off. She moves VERY quickly for a little one, and I spent the hour having an absolute blast chasing her around (I think we BOTH slept well that night). This session had perfect weather, and a great family so we had lots of fun together!

This posting in unique in the sense that it is my first all Black&White photo post. These pictures looked so good in B&W I couldn't resist trying it out - so please leave some feedback on the posting and let me know what you think! Deborah & Jeff, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

This photo here was taken upon the arrival of Little Girl "A"'s aunt, who came to lend a hand during the photo session. She loves her aunt so much, she got super excited and ran over to her! I managed to capture some cute images using her reaction! The top one is her noticing her aunt, and the bottom one is her running over to say hello.

Deborah really wanted a photo of Little Girl "A" in a tree, with her and her husband on either side. This was as close as we could get and probably the longest moment A stayed still for the session! She was a bundle of laughs and energy that night...oh, and she loved the bark on the trees :)

She has the cutest little kissy face ever!

Right here she's saying "Give me some Cheerios!!" Haha, I actually meant to bring Cheerios, as a great photographer recently told me that she uses Cheerios (and strategically throws them near the children) to invoke certain expressions. I think this is a wonderful piece of advice, as children seem to adore the cereal and after this session, I'm never leaving home without them!

Joanne & Tim: E-Session {Guelph Wedding Photography}

This weekend I had the chance to get to know Joanne & Tim a little better during their Engagement session. We headed just outside of the River Run Centre and to the Courthouse in Guelph, Ontario. Here's a few of my faves from the day. I'm looking forward to taking photos at their wedding next May (it will be here before we know it!) Although this session had me heading back to pick up my step ladder that Tim parked in a bicycle rack which I forgot on my way out, it was still an absolute blast and I found my ladder safe and sound later on. Tammy & Dave: Wedding! {Bowmanville Wedding Photography}

This wedding took place at the Bowmanville Golf Club and the photos afterwards were taken at Bowmanville Rotary Park. We had, quite possibly, the hottest day of the year but we were so thankful it wasn't raining - for the first weekend all summer - everyone welcomed the heat with open arms. This wedding was a lot of fun for me to shoot, and Tammy & Dave are a fantastic couple! After the group shots, we only had a few moments with the bride and groom, but I think we managed to capture some great moments of the two of them. Here's their sneak peek of their wedding photos, I hope you enjoy them :)

These two girls are so adorable and did a fabulous job throwing the petals!

Lily's are my favourite flower and I took the opportunity to include the beautiful end pieces into some of the shots.

This little one got hold of the bubbles and spent some time trying to blow them during the ceremony. I think she got more on her dress than in the air, and this photo opt was too precious to pass up!

While waiting to sing the papers, the MOH and Bride had their bouquets perfectly aligned for sneaky photo to be taken. I love the way this one turned out!

This was the largest sized wedding party I've work with to date, and it gave me a lot of opportunity to get creative with poses. I tried some different set-ups and used the wonderful surroundings in the park for them.

These two are a wonderful couple, and were so easy going. They just let me run around like a crazy woman and stopped to smile when asked!

The sun flares make this photo, and I absolutely love the love these to have for each other!

The beautiful bride always needs some solo shots to show off her amazing dress and everything on her big day!

Thank you Tammy & Dave for having me as your photographer. Although I was only there for a short couple of hours (which flies by when you're a photographer), everything went smoothly and wonderfully. I had a great time taking photos, and learned a lot from this session. Thank you for trusting me to get creative and take some fun shots!

New Born Photos: Baby 'G' at 6 weeks!

Last week I had the pleasure of taking newborn photos of Tammy & Brad's latest addition. In May, I had the opportunity to take Tammy's maternity photos, so they have been stars of this blog before. Along with Big Brother 'E', we updated their family photos and got some solo shots of the baby. It was a great session and baby 'G' was so fabulous to work with - he was awake when he was supposed to be, slept when he was supposed to and did not fuss at all; what a doll :) Thanks Tammy and Brad for having me over again for this session, and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek (although it is a tad bit late).

2 Weeks Old: Baby Photos {Guelph Newborn Photography}

Last October, I took photos for Stephanie & Aaron's wedding, 2 months ago I got to take Stephanie's maternity photos, and last week, I got to take pictures of their beautiful 2-week old daughter, baby 'KG'. She was incredibly well behaved for this session, sleeping through most of it like a good baby should! Here are some of my favourites from the shoot, although I have many of them. Thanks to Steph, Aaron and D-man for helping me in this session with baby KG. Hope you love the photos :)

I love, love, love little baby feet! They are so tiny, sweet & cute.

Baby 'KG' is such a perfect little girl.

This teddy bear made an appearance on Stephanie's belly during our maternity session. It was bought for baby 'KG' by her grandfather, I do believe, and will be in her crib with her when she's big enough to sleep there.

She opened her eyes to visit with us for a second, but quickly went back to sleep.

Ohhh, BIG yawn. In the background of this photo is Stephanie's belly cast which was painted and then stamped with the hand prints of mum, dad and big brother 'D'!

Big brother 'D' is such a proud proud big bro!

Michelle & Nate: Wedding {Oshawa Wedding Photographer}

This was, quite possibly, the most fun I have had photographing a wedding. Michelle and Nate are a fabulous couple who had a fabulous wedding party and super fun guests at their wedding! 4 Months Old

This little guy has been featured on my website before - he is my first Baby's First Year baby! I took photos of Baby 'D' as a newborn, and now that he is 4 months, I have returned for more pictures! These photos will chart 'D's' growth throughout his first year! He has changed quite a bit already, and can lift his head (something he just mastered about 2 days before I arrived)! Pat & Scott's Casual Wedding!

This weekend I got to take photos for the most laid-back and casual wedding to date. Pat and Scott are amazing and wanted to have a casual, fun wedding that was very them. All of Pat & Scott's friends and family got together, pitched in, and threw one very successful wedding reception. It was amazing to see everyone (who I thought were hired staff, but were actually friends and their kids) pitch in, make and serve food and have a wonderful time. Although it stormed at one point, everything was still a complete success! Here are some of my favourite pics from the day in my very first slide show attempt...it runs out of music near the end...which I will try to fix ASAP. I hope everything else works :)

Dogs With Pride!

This weekend I was able to attend my first Pride Parade in Toronto! I knew there were going to be some great costumes to be seen on humans and on their pets, too. I thought it would be a blast to showcase some of the dogs who came out to wag their tails in support and show off some of their cute new accessories! I didn't find quite as many poochies as I had hoped (most likely due to the mass amounts of people there and the pre-parade rain that stopped just in time for the beginning of the parade) but the ones I did find were sooo super cute. If I managed to snap photos of your pooch and you don't see them on here, have no fear this is only a sneak preview of all of the pups I captured. I wanted to get a few up right away and the rest will follow in a day or so :)

As soon as this guy saw my camera, he struck a pose...what a handsome ham! I actually think he's smiling in this photo.

What a beautiful girl out enjoying her first Pride Parade just like me! She was a little overwhelmed by all the excitement going on, and didn't seem too interested in me (next time I set out on a doggie photo session I'm bringing a giant bag of treats)...but how lovely and photogenic is she?

This little guy couldn't take his eyes off the parade...until he found someone to give some love and big kisses to!

This dog was so tiny and cute! I couldn't believe how little it is and that it could sleep with so much commotion going on right around it!

Janene & Jeremy: E-Session

I was very excited to get to finally meet Janene and Jeremy and shoot their engagement session. We took these photos in Whitby and had a great session!
